Tool summary
FPI helps law enforcement investigators transform complex financial reports into structured, actionable intelligence. By combining AI-assisted document processing with money laundering pattern detection, it reduces manual analysis, highlights suspicious transactions, and supports faster, more informed financial investigations.
The challenge
Financial investigations involve processing large volumes of heterogeneous information, including suspicious activity reports, bank statements, and transaction records. Manually extracting relevant entities, correlating financial transactions, and identifying suspicious patterns is time-consuming and resource-intensive, delaying investigations and limiting analysts’ capacity to handle complex cases.
What it does
FPI is an AI-assisted investigative platform that automates the extraction, structuring, and analysis of financial information from heterogeneous documents. Using Large Language Models (LLMs), it identifies persons, entities, and financial transactions from suspicious activity reports and banking records. It subsequently applies analytical techniques and detection rules to uncover potential money laundering indicators and suspicious transaction patterns. Results are presented through an investigative dashboard, enabling analysts to explore relationships, examine alerts, and generate reports to support financial crime investigations.
